Carolyn M. Latti

Partner & Attorney

Carolyn M. Latti

Carolyn is an attorney and partner with the law firm of Latti & Anderson LLP. Latti and Anderson LLP specializes in representing fishermen, lobstermen, merchant seamen, longshore and harbor workers as well as passengers on boats, ferries and cruise ships who have been injured and families who have lost loved ones because of an injury on the water. Their practice also involves representing families in car accidents, hit and run accidents and personal injury claims.

Carolyn, one of the few Plaintiffs' maritime woman attorneys on the East Coast, has achieved multi million dollar verdicts and settlements for her clients.  In 2001, Carolyn had the honor of being selected as one of the top 10 Massachusetts Lawyers of the Year by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly.  Additionally, Carolyn has had one of the top ten verdicts of the year in Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly in two separate years.

Her love of litigation and maritime law stem from her growing up as the daughter of a maritime attorney, from being the youngest of four children who continually had to argue her way out of blame for anything that went wrong or was broken,  and, from spending her summers on Cape Cod and in Maine sailing, swimming, fishing and working on the water.

What Carolyn enjoys most about her practice are the relationships that she develops with her clients and their families, learning about all the different intricacies of operations and procedures on vessels, studying the scene of  accident whether on a vessel or on land to her time in the court room arguing her clients' cases. Carolyn continuously strives to achieve the greatest results for her clients by developing strong relationship with her clients and families, immersing herself in a case from the very beginning, and giving it the best she can. Her results in and out of the court room speak for themselves.

Carolyn is a member of the Massachusetts and Maine Bar and practices both in the state and federal Courts. She has also argued and participated in cases before the First Circuit Court of Appeals. Further, Carolyn has served as a speaker on various maritime and litigation topics before different maritime and non maritime groups. Carolyn is a member of the American Association of Justice, American Bar Association, Massachusetts Trial Lawyers Association, Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys and Maritime Law Association.  She earned a B.A. from Hobart and William Smith College and a J.D. from Suffolk University Law School.

Carolyn is married and lives with her husband, also a lawyer, who left his job as an assistant district attorney several years ago to stay at home and care for their children. Carolyn's free time is spent with her family and friends and she is often found in the kitchen cooking with her children.
